The Short Version
Mafia Nights is built local-first: games, players, and settings are stored on your device. We show no ads and do not sell your data. The website uses Simple Analytics to measure visits without analytics cookies. Website accounts are optional; the iOS app has no accounts or analytics.
iOS App
The Mafia Nights iOS app collects no data at all. Player names, saved towns, game history, and settings are stored only on your device; the app never uploads or shares them with anyone. If you use iCloud or computer backups, your device may include this data in your own backups like any other app data — you control those backups and Apple’s backup terms apply to them. The app has no accounts, no ads, no analytics, and works fully offline. If you delete the app, its data on the device is deleted with it; copies inside backups you made earlier remain until you delete those backups.
Website Without an Account
You can run games on the website without signing in. In that case everything — players, roles, game state — is stored in your browser's local storage and stays on your device. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes standard technical request data, such as IP addresses, to serve the site and protect it from abuse; we do not use it to identify or profile you.
Website Analytics
The website loads Simple Analytics, a third-party service, for visitors with or without an account. It receives usage information such as visited page paths, referral sources, visit times, browser and device information, language, and country inferred from the browser time zone. We use these statistics to understand how the website is used. Simple Analytics does not use cookies or store IP addresses. We do not send player names, game contents, or account details to it. This analytics integration is not part of the iOS app.
Daily Game Counts
On the website, we store only daily totals of games created, started and finished in our Cloudflare database. These counters contain no IP addresses, account, game or device identifiers, player names or game contents. Requests omit cookies and referrers. Local boolean flags prevent repeated counting after reload or undo. The native iOS app does not send these events.
Optional Account
If you sign in with Google on the website, we store your name, email address, and Google account ID so you can log in, plus the towns (player groups) and game history you choose to save. We do not sell this account data or send it to Simple Analytics. To delete your account and all data linked to it, write to us at the address below.
Children
Mafia Nights is a party game companion rated 9+. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children; the iOS app collects no data from anyone.
